Antiques at the Holt

We were very excited when Antiques@TheHolt grew so much bigger in March this year! Expanding into a fourth room at The Holt gave us space for an additional seven double-sized pitches. This enabled us to invite several new dealers to stand with us at The Holt, including some who'd been waiting patiently on the waiting list for years! This page includes brief descriptions of typical items from just some of the dealers who attended. Click on the thumbnails to view enlargements.

If you are a dealer, and would like to know more about booking a table for future events, please Contact us, and we will send you the appropriate information.

Margaret Barker - Antiques at the Holt - Jewellery and Ladies' Vintage Accessories

Margaret Barker - Silverwares, Jewellery & Ladies' Accessories
Margaret joined us for a toe-in-the-water Sunday in November 2015, and enjoyed herself enough to come back again a year later ... and virtually sold out on the opening day! She has impeccable taste, and it shows in the top-quality stock she sells and the beautiful way it's all arranged. The image on the right featured in the Antiques Trade Gazette - the Chanel scarf is not for sale!

Tony & Donna Allen - General Antiques

Tony & Donna Allen - General Antiques, Ceramics & Collectables
Tony Allen and his daughter Donna (and it's good to see the younger generation with an interest in antiques dealing!) stand every Friday at the Cirencester Antiques Market, as well as being regulars at Malvern and Ryton-on-Dunsmore. They offer a range of traditional antiques and collectables, including silver, ceramics, glasswares, the occasional clock, inkwells, prints and paintings.

Andrew Long |Antiques at the Holt

Arcadia Antiques - General Antiques, Collectables and Curios
Andrew Long is one of our most determined supporters, and has yet to miss an Antiques@TheHolt. His table veritably groans with the weight of the interesting selection of antiques and curios he always amasses (plus his very individual shelving system). Expect a few clocks, a bit of Charlotte Rhead, musical instruments, glass, ceramics and some select items of militaria.

Marilyn Arrigoni - Antiques at the Holt

Marilyn Arrigoni - Fine ceramics, Moorcroft, Troika & Silverwares
Marilyn made her debut at The Holt a year ago. She specialises in fine 20th century ceramics, and her stock includes some fine examples of works by Moorcroft and Troika. Her Moorcroft selection is imposing, and includes pieces from the early years as well as more contemporary examples. She also displayed examples of glass, silver and jewellery.

Val Sparks - Brook Antiques

Brook Collectables - Val Sparks
Val Sparks does us proud every time she comes to The Holt, with an impressive array of very tasteful antiques, woodenwares and curios. She also brings some select items of furniture, glasswares and ceramics. Her display beams with beautifully patinated wood, polished brass, the glint of glass, and more often than not, some flowers to highlight the wooden boxes and treen.

Antiques @ The Holt

Michael Collier - Vintage Topographical & Themed Postcards
Mike has one of the most impressive collections of regional topographic postcards we've ever seen. He is only able to bring a small percentage of his stock to The Holt - perhaps 20,000 cards in total - with an emphasis on local towns and villages in Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and the Cotswolds. He tempts us each fair with his Titanic memorabilia, but we can't afford the insurance!

Mike can be contacted through this website

Martin Cox of Cox & Pierce Antiques

Martin Cox - Items of Furniture, Boxes and Collectables
Martin put on a splendid display last time at The Holt, taking on a double pitch and filling it with tasteful furniture, ceramics and intriguing smaller pieces of the cabinet-makers art, including writing slopes, vanity boxes, tea caddies and treen. One of the stars was a snuff box in the form of a miniature shoe, beautifully created in hand-carved wood. Expect more treasures in March.

She had to miss us in November, but returns this spring with another wonderful selection of boxes, cabinets, writing slopes, vanity boxes and sewing sets, all beautifully encased in mahogany, rosewood, walnut, satinwood and coromandel. In amongst will be dotted a tasteful selection of collectables.
