Antiques at the Holt

Date: We are still having to contend with on-going restrictions due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The Autumn Antiques@TheHolt last year was cancelled, but we were hoping to stage this year's Spring fair over the weekend of March 20th & 21st. That is also now impossible, although we are hoping to be able to publish revised dates, perhaps for the early Summer. The dates for the Autumn fair have yet to be confirmed, but are likely to be 27th and 28th November.

For future reference, the dates for Antiques@TheHolt have now been regularised annually to the third weekend in March, and the last weekend in November.

Time: Doors open to the public at 9:00 am on Saturday, and 10:00 am on Sunday. The fair closes at 5:00 pm on Saturday, and 4:30 pm on Sunday. There will be half-price entry to the fair during the final hour on each day.

Official Opening: The second fair was officially opened on the Saturday morning by BBC TV's Charlie Ross. Read the Press Release, or find more on our extended page about CharlieRoss@TheHolt. We don't always have "celebrity endorsement", but it's nice when we do!

Entry: There is an entry fee of £2 for adults, with no charge for accompanied children under the age of 16. Re-entry upon presentation of a valid ticket is free, and visitors attending both days will only be charged once. Add your email address to the ticket stub on leaving to enter our Prize Draw. See foot of page for full Terms & Conditions.

Trade Visitors: Trade buyers are welcome from 08:30 on Saturday, and 09:30 on Sunday, upon presentation of a business card. We respectfully ask visiting trade buyers not to request access before these times. There is no premium, and the standard entry charge of £2 applies.

Location: The Holt is situated at the crossroads of the main A4260 Oxford-Banbury road and the B4030 between Bicester (Lower Heyford) and Chipping Norton (Middle Barton). Distances are: Oxford 12.5 miles south, Banbury 10 miles north, Bicester 8 miles east, Chipping Norton 10 miles west. The nearest motorway is the M40, with Junction 10 (Cherwell Valley Services) 8 miles north east and J9 (A34) 9 miles south east.

Terms & Conditions: Standard entry to Antiques@TheHolt is £2 per head. However, re-entry to the fair to anyone returning on the Sunday (having paid for entry on the Saturday) will be free, upon presentation of a valid ticket and a hand-stamp. Each ticket will also permit entry to the Prize Draw, with winners drawn from the 'hat' to receive a variety of items. These will be on display at the Fair. To be eligible, an email address must be added to the ticket stub, or the visitor's ticket handed in to the organisers on leaving inclusive of an email address - required so that winners can be advised of their good fortune.
