Antiques@TheHolt was staged in the hotel's Cherwell
Suite of
function rooms from its inception, but after 2017 expanded into the Aston Room and Barton Room to provide additional space for a further selection of double-sized pitches.
The
rooms are located on the north side of the hotel, and are easily
accessed by dealers (for loading and unloading) through large double-doors that open out
onto the extensive northern car park. There is additional access for dealers using the Aston Room through doors on the east side.
Visitors to the fair
are requested to enter the hotel via the main entrance
(south side) and make their way past Reception and into the Lounge Bar, where the entrance to the Fair will be seen on the right-hand side. (Please note that wheelchair
access is also via the hotel's main entrance - please enquire at Reception upon arrival and the staff will be pleased to assist.)
The
rooms are mainly on the level, with easy access between Rooms 1, 2 and 4. Room 3 is accessed by a case of three steps. All have recently been redecorated, and are open, airy and well-lit. The main entrance to the Fair is from the hotel's main reception rooms, along a glazed corridor that leads to the Barton and Aston rooms. The Fair is laid out to assure visitors of a straightforward route through the four rooms and easy access to every pitch.
The
plan below shows the layout of the Fair, including access points for dealers and for visitors (via
Reception & Lounge Bar). Ladies' and Gentlemens' toilets are nearby, and the plan also shows electric power points and
all doorways.

Please note that the plan above is for guidance only, and may be superceded and revised at any time. Dealers
who regularly attend other fairs may note that the
pitch areas at Antiques@TheHolt are, in the main, significantly
larger than those normally encountered elsewhere. The organisers
have gone to some length to ensure that the space available
in the suite is used to its maximum, and the net result is
generous table area for each dealer but with plenty of room
for visitors to browse and mingle.
The
charges for booking space at the fair varies from pitch to
pitch, dependant upon square footage, and range from £65
to
£150 for the two days. Single-day bookings are no longer taken. Dealers standing at the fair are provided with detailed information on setting up, electricity, lighting, and the facilities on offer at The Holt.
The
hotel's main bar and lounge is open throughout the event,
and serves teas and coffees, the usual selection of
keg and bottled beers, a choice of excellent wines, and bar
meals. The main restaurant is open for lunch and dinner on both
days, and there
is a generous "Traditional English" buffet
breakfast served until 10:00 am every morning. There is also
an excellent Sunday Carvery, as well as bar meals and à la
carte*.
Dealers
and guests who wish to stay overnight to attend the fair can
take advantage of discounted rates on accommodation in the
hotel. Please enquire for details, and if phoning the hotel to book a room, be sure to mention these special rates.
